Practical help.
Clear boundaries.

01 / AGREE THE COVERAGE

Set a manageable audit brief

Agree asset categories, estimated quantities, locations, access arrangements and the purpose of the register. Confirm whether the job is an on-site check, a records review or a combination before quoting.

02 / CHECK THE RECORDS

Compare assets with the register

Record the agreed visible identifiers, descriptions, locations, responsible teams and observed status. Flag items that cannot be found, matched or safely accessed; do not assume a missing record means an asset should be removed.

03 / BUILD A USEFUL REGISTER

Keep the fields consistent

Create or update an agreed customer-owned register format. Agree identifiers and required fields, flag duplicate or conflicting entries, and provide a clear exceptions list. Sensitive account details and passwords do not belong in the register.

04 / TRACK THE CHANGES

Record additions and movements

Record customer-approved additions, moves, changes and disposals with an agreed change log. You approve uncertain matches and removals. Physical disposal, wiping and asset transfers are separate work.

05 / ONGOING UPDATES

Choose an update routine

If required, agree a separate schedule and fee for register updates, how changes reach David, the volume included and when a further site visit is needed. No unpriced monthly commitment or unlimited updates are assumed.

06 / HANDOVER

Leave with records and next steps

Supply the agreed register, change log and unresolved items for owner review. Scope, travel, tagging materials, software costs and timing are confirmed in writing. This is an asset-record service; accounting valuation, electrical testing and certification require separate qualified work.

A quote that fits
your assets and locations.

Tell David the approximate asset count, types, sites and whether you need a one-off audit or ongoing register updates. The quote confirms deliverables, access, travel, materials, software and any recurring update allowance.

  • One-off asset audits
  • New or updated asset registers
  • Additions, moves and approved disposals
  • Discrepancy list and change log
  • Optional ongoing updates, separately agreed

Tell David what you need first. We confirm availability, suitability, scope and any separate costs in writing before you commit.

Work and handover

The agreed work is completed and checked with you, with a practical handover and any next steps made clear.

Clear about the details.

What does an asset audit cost?

Pricing depends on quantities, asset types, locations, access and the condition of existing records. David confirms a written scope and quote before you commit.

Can you keep our register updated?

Yes. Agree the update frequency, change-submission process, included volume and fee. Further site checks, extra locations and larger changes are quoted explicitly.

Does it include tagging, travel or software?

Only where the quote explicitly includes them. The brief confirms site visits, travel, any tags/materials and customer-owned software costs.

Does this include valuations or safety certification?

No. Financial valuation, depreciation advice, electrical testing, statutory certification, disposal and device wiping are separate specialist work.

How is this different from a network map or CSV cleanup?

A network map covers the agreed network; CSV cleanup tidies a supplied file. An asset audit compares agreed assets and records and maintains the register. We remove overlapping work from combined quotes.

What do you
have in mind?
