Your website.
A timely alert.
A clear next step.

Simple availability checks with alerts you own.

Set up external checks for your agreed public website addresses, so the chosen provider can notify you when they appear unavailable and when they recover. David configures a suitable customer-owned monitoring account, rehearses the alert route and hands over the controls.

Personal help from David. Scope and suitability agreed before booking.

Practical help.
Clear boundaries.

01 / YOUR PUBLIC ADDRESSES

Agree exactly what is checked

Choose up to three authorised public HTTP(S) website URLs. Use external checks, independent of the website hosting network. We do not add private dashboards, credentials or sensitive URL parameters to a third-party monitor.

02 / YOUR MONITORING ACCOUNT

Choose a suitable plan

Keep the account and recovery details in your name. Confirm supported check intervals, alert channels, retention and any provider fees before booking. A free plan may fit a simple brief; faster checks or extra features may cost more.

03 / A USEFUL ALERT RULE

Avoid reacting to every brief wobble

Agree the check interval and failure threshold supported by the plan, plus one customer-approved email destination. Alerts indicate a failed availability check; they do not diagnose every fault or guarantee that every visitor can use the site.

04 / REHEARSE SAFELY

Prove down and recovery messages

Use a separate test endpoint for an agreed down/recovery rehearsal without taking your live website offline. Confirm receipt at the approved destination and explain pauses, maintenance windows where supported and false-alert handling.

05 / A PRACTICAL HANDOVER

Know who responds

Document ownership, the alert route and who to contact when a check fails. You or your existing website provider handles incidents. This starter does not include repairs, incident response, security scanning or a 24/7 support desk.

06 / OPTIONAL MONTHLY REVIEW

Keep the routine useful

Optional £29/month for one short availability summary and up to 15 minutes of routine configuration review, with no rollover. Fault investigation, fixes, extra URLs and provider subscriptions are separately quoted. Check your existing care plan to avoid duplicate work.

£149 setup.
Optional £29/month review.

Start with configuration, an isolated alert rehearsal and handover. The optional monthly plan adds a short summary and bounded routine review. It does not buy incident response or an uptime guarantee. Existing care coverage is checked first.

  • £149 one-off setup
  • Up to three authorised public URLs
  • One approved email alert destination
  • Isolated down/recovery rehearsal
  • Optional £29/month: summary + up to 15 minutes review

Tell David what you need first. We confirm availability, suitability, scope and any separate costs in writing before you commit.

Work and handover

The agreed work is completed and checked with you, with a practical handover and any next steps made clear.

Clear about the details.

What does £29 a month include?

One short monthly availability summary and up to 15 minutes of routine configuration review, no rollover. It excludes fault diagnosis, fixes, incident response and provider fees. Optional monthly terms and cancellation are agreed in writing before booking.

Will you fix my website if an alert arrives?

Repairs and incident response are not included. The handover names who receives alerts and who should respond. Separate website-care or repair work can be discussed; there is no 24/7 human response commitment.

Does this test enquiries, payments or security?

No. These are public URL availability checks. Login journeys, enquiry delivery, purchases, card payments, penetration tests and security scanning are outside this starter.

Do we have to pay for monitoring software?

A suitable free plan may cover the agreed basic checks. Paid features, SMS and subscriptions, if needed, are separate. We confirm current plan limits before booking; the monitoring account belongs to you.

Will a test take our website offline?

No. The planned down/recovery rehearsal uses a separate test endpoint. Alert tests go only to the customer-approved destination after the test is agreed.

Is this already part of our website-care plan?

We check your existing agreement first. If the same monitoring or review is already included, we do not charge again for it.
