What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the website owner. We also use browser localStorage (a similar technology) to store your preferences.
Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we are required to tell you what cookies we use and to obtain your consent before placing any non-essential cookies on your device.
Cookies we use
This website uses a minimal number of cookies. We do not use advertising, marketing, or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics platform.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| db_consent | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie consent preference (accepted or rejected) so we don't show the banner on every visit. | 12 months | DaveBrain (first party) |
| localStorage: db_consent | Strictly necessary | Same as above — stored in browser localStorage as a backup. | Until cleared | DaveBrain (first party) |
Third-party resources
This website does not load any resources from third-party servers. The Inter typeface used on this site is self-hosted on our own server — no requests are made to Google Fonts or any other external font provider.
